The font, called OpenDyslexic, was created by Aberlardo Gonzalez and it is open-sourced and free to be used outside of attribution, without restriction.

Your brain can sometimes do funny things to letters. OpenDyslexic tries to help prevent some of these things from happening. Letters have heavy weighted bottoms to add a kind of "gravity" to each letter, helping to keep your brain from rotating them around in ways that can make them look like other letters. Consistently weighted bottoms can also help reinforce the line of text. The unique shapes of each letter can help prevent flipping and swapping.

OpenDyslexic also takes a different approach to italic styles. It is generally recommended that italics be avoided in reading material for dyslexia. However, instead of taking the normal approach of "slant x% for italic," OpenDyslexic's italic style has been crafted to allow for its use for emphasis while maintaining readability.

A patent filed by James Brooks Miller and Richard Carl Gossweiler III, on behalf of Google, back in October 2011 was approved today, a patent for—you guessed it!—a smartwatch.

To wit:

A smart-watch can include a wristband, a base, and a flip up portion. The base can be coupled to the wristband and include a housing, a processor, a wireless transceiver, and a tactile user interface. The wireless transceiver can be configured to connect to a wireless network. The tactile user interface can be configured to provide interaction between a user and the smart-watch. The flip up portion can be displaceable between an open position exposing the base and a closed position concealing the base. Further, the flip up portion can include: a top display exposed when the flip up portion is in the closed position, and an inside display opposite the top display. The inside display can be concealed when the flip up portion is in the closed position and be exposed when the flip up portion is in the open position.

For the curious, the full-text of the patent can be found here.

Right now, the watch's conceivable powers extend only so far as: coffee. Just kidding. Certainly Google has all sorts of ideas for its possible application. The patent describes a sort of point-and-display feature that would pull up information about a given product. You know, kinda like all those shopping apps<inset id="5696301"></inset> that do the basically same thing already. Only question is: do we want this? Blah, blah, blah. Wonderbra's lingerie x-ray vision app masquerading as an ad campaign is pretty incredible.

Not incredible good, but incredible, like...literally incredible. As in, I am incredulous.

Available for free from both the iOS and Android app stores, "Wonderbra Decoder" will reveal to you a taut and toned Slovakian supermodel stripped down to her skivvies.

Use the Wonderbra Decoder to uncover Adriana secret. Let her show you how amazingly sexy, gorgeous and fabulous you can look and feel in the Wonderbra new range of beautifully uplifting bras. Go behind the curtain and let your smartphone see what no-one else can see, review all the colours, check the sizes and buy whatever takes your fancy.

Some things really need to be kept between us girls, right?

Similar to the way Ikea's augmented-reality catalog<inset id="5927928"></inset> can be explored with an app that allows users to open cabinets and drawers and explore the staged room, Wonderbra Decoder allows you to explore, well, this woman's body.

It's a little finnicky, the app, but it does work. Like a QR code-reader, the app responds to the audio of Wonderbra's decoder video (below) and, after registering the curtain's QR code, displays on your smartphone a strutting model in a gel-filled brassiere.

Clever? Ehh... Well designed? Mehh... A promising ad campaign to boost bra sales? Well...

Welcome to the future, where models are our virtual playthings and the Mad Men ad-campaign approach is alive and seemingly well.
Certain drugs are cheaper in, say, Canada. Others can be embarrassing to ask a doctor for or pick up from the pharmacy, like, say, Viagra. There is also the ease with which otherwise difficult to acquire drugs can be illegally "prescribed" by over-the-Internet "MDs" and sent airmail to your home, no questions asked.

By this point, we should all be at least aware that spammy Web pharmacies are a money-sucking sham at best and a hugely dangerous and untrustworthy resource at worst.

Two characters, with seemingly nothing in common, become fervent pen pals in this silly, slightly dark, clever claymation film, written and directed by Adam Elliot.

Mary (voice of Toni Collette) is an 8-year-old Australian little girl, with a mother constantly sloshed from too much sherry and a father who likes to do weird things to dead birds in his shed. She loves sweetened, condensed milk straight from the can.

Max (voice of Philip Seymour Hoffman) is a 44-year-old obese New Yorker with Asperger's syndrome. He's had eight pet goldfish, all named Henry. He likes to eat whole chocolate bars sandwiched between hotdog buns. He goes to over-eaters anonymous meetings. He must watch television using two stacked sets: the first has sound but no picture, the other has no sound but a working screen.

In much the same way that Ted is a movie about a teddy bear skewed for a necessary adult audience, Mary and Max is a clay animation that grown-ups will appreciate most—especially Wallace and Gromit fans.

Fun fact: It took 2400 teaspoons of lubricant<inset id="5888669"></inset> to create the ocean when Max imagines himself on a desert island.
